Puerto Vallarta (Spanish pronunciation or simply Vallarta) is a Mexican beach resort city on the Pacific Ocean’s Bahía de Banderas in the Mexican state of Jalisco. Puerto Vallarta is the second-largest urban agglomeration in the state, after the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area.
Puerto Vallarta has its own international airport, Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR), which is served by direct flights from many major cities in the USA and Canada. Alternatively, visitors can fly to the nearby Guadalajara International Airport and take a bus or private transfer to Puerto Vallarta from there (https://www.puertovallarta.net/fast_facts/airport_routes/).
Bus services from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta are via estrella blanca group, ETN, Primera Plus, and Vallarta Plus.
From Europe, there is only one direct flight to Puerto Vallarta, from Manchester in the UK. TUI Airways flies there once a week all year round. Direct flights from Europe to Mexico City are offered by several airlines. From Mexico City, you can then reach Puerto Vallarta by domestic flight with the airlines Aeroméxico, Aeroméxico Connect, VivaAerobús and Volaris.
